The enactment of the Frank Melville Supportive Housing Investment Act of 2010 reformed Section 811, creating the opportunity to systematically develop thousands of new permanent supportive housing units integrated within affordable housing properties every year.

The LHC was awarded $8.25 million in February 2013 to provide rental assistance to 200 households throughout the state for five years with expected renewal funding for a total of 20 years.
