Overview The Louisiana Housing Corporation's Internal Audit Division provides an independent, objective appraisal of the Corporation's various functions, activities and systems of control of control. The purpose of our work is to determine whether management information is reliable and that acceptable policies and procedures are followed. It's purposes is also to determine if established standards are met, resources are safeguarded and used efficiently and effectively and that the Corporation's mission is achieved. The LHC Internal Audit Division is independent of the Corporation's management and the director of internal audit reports to the LHC Board of Directors functionally and to the LHC Executive Director administratively.
What is Internal Audit? Internal auditing is an independent, objective, assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization's operations. It helps an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
